France dominated the World Cup this year, taking home the Jules Rimet Trophy for the second time since 1998. A team filled with diversity ranging from age (their 19-year-old forward Kylian Mbappé) to race (dubbed the Rainbow Team 2.0 for their various race backgrounds) France quickly became a favorite and the team to watch. The match was even streamed before the Beyonce and Jay- Z concert live in Paris. However, Croatia always deserves a round of applause for their road to the final match. The country had a rough start during the first few games in the knockout round, but clearly picked up the pace ending with second place. Also, they helped write history as this was the highest scoring World Cup since 1966 with a final score of 4-2. There were three colors you could definitely find in that stadium on Sunday– red, white and blue.
