The NFL playoffs have arrived! While some teams provided some exciting games, others deserve applause for at least making it. Players continued to shine and make a name for themselves while others are just glad to be there. Here is a rapid recap of what you might have missed in the playoffs so far.
The Patriots do it Again
Never underestimate the New England Patriots during the playoffs. The team is making a statement that they want to see another Superbowl. It was quite a shocker to see the LA Chargers barely score at all in their matchup against the New England Patriots. After their performance in Baltimore, where their defense found a way to stop the Ravens’ killer offense and Lamar Jackson, it caused many to scratch their heads and ask what happened between the previous week and that game. Regardless, it is hard to deny that the Patriots know what they are doing and can always dominate when needed. Now, will they make it all the way?
Down Goes the Cowboys
Cowboys fans were over the moon when they beat the Seattle Seahawks in the opening round of the playoffs. Despite only beating the Seahawks by 2 points, many believed that the team could still continue to advance in the playoffs. Well, the Rams thought otherwise. The LA Rams defense found ways to slow down the aggressive Cowboys offense. While the win was enough for LA, the team also had quite a miracle story to celebrate. Chiefs Take Down the Colts
The Kansas City Chiefs continue to make a name for themselves to prove that they are a team to be reckoned with. With a quarterback breaking record after record during his rookie season, there was no doubt that this offense would continue to power through. Meanwhile, the Colts just looked, out of it. The team had issues when it came to scoring, some poor personal foul calls and quarterback Andrew Luck did not look so great for a majority of the first half. With all of those factors combined, it allowed the Chiefs to advance. Will this team continue to dominate next week?
Eagles Take a Plunge
It would be too good to be true if the Eagles made it to the Superbowl back to back with their back-up quarterback right? To the contrary, the Philadelphia Eagles fell flat against the New Orleans Saints to advance to the NFC championship game. Despite both teams facing injuries during the game, the game came down to a last minute interception thrown by backup quarterback Nick Foles. Despite the loss, one important thing to take out of this game would be Foles consoling receiver Alshon Jeffery after the interception. It shows that this team is still the Eagles team America fell in love with last season.
Now, the stage is set. The Kansas City Chiefs will be going against the New England Patriots Sunday at 6:40 PM – EST for the AFC Championship title and a ticket to the Superbowl. As for the NFC match up, watch the Los Angeles Rams take on the New Orleans Saints Sunday at 3:05 PM – EST. Who will you be rooting for? Let us know in the comments below!
